1 Corinthians 12 shares a truth that the Church is not complete without disabled people. Becky Tyler, a young wheelchair user who was on BBC Songs of Praise (6 Sept 2026) says: ‘Let’s overcome our fears and have more conversations about including disabled people in church life, because we have a lot to offer and you are missing out!’
So, there is still time to join Triona Brading, a young autistic author, who’s calling on churches in the UK to mark Disability Awareness Sunday 2026. The official date was 27 September 2026, but you can celebrate on any Sunday. Hold your own DAS event or watch recorded national events including the CofE online service 20 Sept, or daily radio UCB1 Time of Prayer in the last hour of the UCB1 Talking Point shows from 21-25 September 2026.
